ÂTodayÂs Family to feature Smalley Marriage Institute
Deerfield Beach, FL (PRWEB) July 24, 2004
Platinum Television Group is pleased to announce the selection of Smalley Marriage Institute for a special consumer segment ÂHaving a Healthy Marriage on its innovative, educational television series, TodayÂs Family.
ÂA majority of the married couples in this country are struggling and over 50% are divorcing, says Dr. Greg Smalley, president of the Smalley Marriage Institute in Branson, MO. ÂThis program is designed to help couples who are drained and exhausted or feel hopeless and helpless.Â
In the spring of 1999, a team of professional marriage experts developed the SmalleyÂs Marriage Intensivesm programs. Aimed at Âbuilding, restoring, and renewing the promise of a great marriage, the program is highly successful. Internal research suggests that over 90% of participants are still together and experiencing a much higher level of satisfaction. The success is due to rapidly identifying root problems and the obstacles in their relationship and equipping them with skills that dramatically change the way they live and love.
Instead of time-restricted brief weekly sessions like traditional counseling, the intensives at the Smalley Marriage Institute provide couples with in-depth, multi-day counseling. Free from outside distractions, couples work directly with a team of professional therapists and marriage experts in a safe and supportive environment. Five couples participate in the Couples Intensivesm program for approximately 30 hours of counseling in Branson or Rome, GA. This includes four days and nights of luxury accommodations and catered meals. The Marriage Intensivesm program consists of two days of exclusive counseling for one couple. Each intensive features follow-up services and participant manual.
The Smalley Marriage Institute team continues to work with couples after the intensives are over and are also available to assist church staff and marriage mentors with training and enrichment events based on the intensive model.
The segment on TodayÂs Family will educate viewers on some of the main issues that cause stress in relationships and offer ways to deal with them. They will profile SMI and the Couples Intensivesm program, and feature some couples that have benefited from the program. For more information please visit http://www.smalleymarriage.com
