Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 22, 2012

Singer, songwriter, and recording artist Angie Star (http://www.angiestarmusic.com/) has been receiving a lot of attention with the release of her new single ‘Gimme Your Love,’ from her upcoming album “Poison” on UK record label Embracive Music (http://www.embracivemusic.com), available on iTunes.

The UK’s Fuse magazine said, “Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for this new star, she is out to change the world one song at a time.” The Sunderland Echo noted, “She has an amazing voice, it has such range. She writes all her own material and the feedback to her music has been incredible.” Recent interviews with Spark FM and BBC Radio, is a sure sign that Angie Star is indeed an artist to be seriously noted.

From the UK to China, from Germany to Australia, across the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United States, thousands of music fans “Starlets,” industry executives and critics are falling in love with the rising star from the Chicago suburb of Wood Dale. With all the excitement surrounding her music, the humble, yet confident artist commented, “I aspire to be someone who tests the boundaries of current music.” Angie said. “I want to change the world one note at a time. Being different is always something people try to avoid but I try and embrace it. No one remembers someone who blends in.”

25-year-old Angie Star credits her parent’s love of music for shaping her love for music, and remembers fondly her dearly departed mother Camille, who loved The Beatles, and how her biggest fan, her father Tony Stafford, has always supported her since she was a little girl, and have always provided encouragement.

The infectious Dance/Pop song ‘Gimme Your Love’ was produced in Palatine, IL by Rick Lucier who has worked with Jim Belushi, Donna Matrix, Al Jourgensen/Ministry, and Harry Rushakoff/Concrete Blonde. Angie wrote ‘Gimme Your Love’ and all the songs for her album, such as ‘Boom, Boom, Boom,’ ‘Technicolor Tears,’ ‘Fallin For You,’ and ‘Body Parts’ that will feature on the ‘Poison’ Album. Angie’s lyrics portray her trials, tribulations and pleasures in love and relationships, with raw honesty, and heart rendering emotion.

Angie Star has been writing songs for only the past three years, however, she has been writing poetry since junior high school and had one her poems published when she was 12-years-old. When Angie was a 6-year-old, she appeared on public access television in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where she sang the Whitney Houston song ‘Saving All My Love For You.’ She signed to UK based Embracive Music Records in 2011, after label head Danny Kitching saw her YouTube video in 2010 and reached out to her.
