Its the fairytale that many people strive for, love at first sight, followed by marriage and happily ever after. New Australian research shows that it takes a lot more than love to have a successful marriage. This study involved nearly 2500 couples followed for 7 years, to find out what factors kept couples together and what caused them to separate. Results show that lack of money, differing desires for kids and unemployment all play a role in divorce as to partners who are on their second or third marriage. A successful relationship requires work, development problem solving skills, keeping lines of communication open, no one problem will destroy a marriage.
