Woman Provides Examples of One Marriage Saved
Tuscaloosa, AL (PRWEB) July 12, 2011
With the divorce rate near 50 percent, any married man or woman might be concerned about the state of their marriage. Gladys L. Jackson, author of Woman Alone (published by AuthorHouse) spent many years in a relationship she felt was incomplete. In her new book, readers might find some of the warning signs that allow them to salvage their own relationships.
I was inspired to write Woman Alone when I first felt disenchanted with the marriage life, separated from my husband and went to Dallas, Texas to live. I started to write while riding in the airplane. Feeling alone and isolated from my mate, I began to constantly write. Most of that time was spent reading, searching for a better life for couples since my marriage was in trouble and not going to my great expectations.
Unlike many marriage help books, Woman Alone doesn’t use any combination of social science or cheap self-help proverbs. Instead, Jackson offers her own examination of the Bible as a guidepost. Through her close examination of the Scripture, Jackson has discovered many of the secrets to be found in the Bible concerning marital bliss.
“I came to believe that I could help other couples who are thinking about getting a divorce and I wanted to encourage them to wait awhile and use the Scriptures to keep the marriage intact for a lifetime,” Jackson says. “I wanted to empower women and men in their own marriage and their own relationships.”
Although written by a woman, for women, Woman Alone should be accessible nonetheless to any reader, male or female, who is concerned about the state of their relationship.
